Hi There,

It’s so nice to meet you! My name is Eva-Maria and I’m the co-founder, chief dreamer and creative head behind Tesoro Events & Travel. Together with my husband, who’s our financial and logistical mastermind, we’ve founded our “little treasure” (hint: tesoro = treasure in Italian) about two years ago.

So let me tell you a little bit about myself and how we got here…

When I was 8 years old I was allowed to watch a primetime movie for the first time.

Little did I know this movie would influence my future and career path so much. The movie was: “Father of the Bride” with Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, Kimberly Williams-Paisley as main characters and of course Martin Short as eccentric wedding planner Franck Eggelhoffer.

It was a pretty typical 90’s movie and I was absolutely amazed by the entire process of planning weddings, the décor, the flowers and seeing it all come to life in the end.

From that point onwards, I spent my days planning birthday parties and other social gatherings, wrote minute-by-minute run-sheets and had a wonderful team (mum, grandma, grandpa) behind me to support all these “events”.

I guess anyone who knows me since that time knew that working in the events industry was meant to be for me and that’s how it all started….sometimes it’s the little things in life that inspire us the most. Little things make big things happen!

Fast forward, after living abroad for the majority of my adult life, I’m proud to call the United Arab Emirates my home for the last 8 years and that’s also where I met my wonderful husband.

Having worked in the corporate events as well as the hospitality industry it was time for a change. It was always our dream to create something innovative, modern yet classic and inspire people through our work.

In the first year since embarking on this entrepreneurial journey, we’ve collected memories, experiences and learned valuable lessons; all in all the perfect precondition for a re-launch. We wanted our “baby” to grow up and take things to the next level.

With a new look, contemporary services and lots and lots of passion, we’re now here sharing our love for all things beautiful, events, travel, and lifestyle with you.

We’ve created Le Journal by Tesoro Events & Travel for all of you “bon vivants” out there eager to look behind the scenes of a millennial-run business, discover (wedding & travel) inspiration and fall in love with all the pretty things in life!
